as a textile artist, i am interested in colour, texture, detail and quality.
i hand weave fabric from fine wools and silks, from which i then make clothing and accessories by combining the cloth, leather and hand dyed silks to create luxurious and interesting effects.
the details of each piece is finished by intricate embellishing, cutting and stitching.
each garment is individually designed to be both beautiful and practical and is finished to an excellent standard.
the scottish setting is my main inspiration -rural and urban- creating atmospheres which are both traditional and contemporary.
